White Peacock

‘White Peacock’. The peacock’s portrait is painted in very thin layers over a golden green background. This colour is associated with corroded copper. The gold shimmering through the feathers which radiates of a soft white glowing light. I chose not to paint its beautiful tail feathers, but to concentrate on its head, its eyes; to give it in addition to its beauty a caressing factor.
